Peter Madden, owner and director of Galerie Boomerang, Amsterdam, founded and has overseen a landmark Amsterdam art gallery since 1993.

A pioneer in the market for Australian Aboriginal art, Madden has created important collections of contemporary Australian Aboriginal art for and with both private clients and museums in the Netherlands, and has sold works to major collections worldwide, including the Richard Kelton Foundation.

In 1997, Madden began expanding his repertoire, representing and selling works by American and European Pop and Minimalist artists to private collectors worldwide, working with the Warhol Foundation, the John Lennon Estate, and others.

As a curator since 1990, Madden has developed several exhibitions both of Australian indigenous and non-indigenous art, and of important Western art for private institutions and public museums in Europe.
