As a journalist, she has served as Contributing Editor at Art & Auction and Interiors magazines and penned a column for Forbes, among others; as an art dealer, she has worked with the Estate of John Lennon, the Andy Warhol Foundation, and others, and has represented works by Frank Stella, Jean Dubuffet, Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Willem de Kooning, Roy Lichtenstein, Arman, George Baselitz and more, selling both to private and institutional collections in the US, Europe, and Asia. She is also well-known and respected for her expertise in Islamic contemporary art/Arab and Iranian contemporary art.
In addition, Esman has written and edited art exhibition catalogues for numerous clients, including The Guggenheim Museum, New York; The Museum voor Volkenkunde (Wereld Museum) Rotterdam; and the Geelvinck Hinlopen Huis Museum, Amsterdam, as well as for several galleries both in Europe and in the USA.
Peter Madden, owner and director of Galerie Boomerang, Amsterdam, founded and has overseen a landmark Amsterdam art gallery since 1993.
A pioneer in the market for Australian Aboriginal art, Madden has created important collections of contemporary Australian
Aboriginal art for and with both private clients and museums in the Netherlands, and has sold works to major collections worldwide, including the Richard Kelton Foundation.
In 1997, Madden began expanding his repertoire, representing and selling works by American and European Pop and Minimalist artists to private collectors worldwide, working with the Warhol Foundation, the John Lennon Estate, and others.
As a curator since 1990, Madden has developed several exhibitions both of Australian indigenous and non-indigenous art, and of important Western art for private
institutions and public museums in Europe.
