But in the past few years, world and rapidfire market changes have brought not just excitement, but also confusion, risk, and concern to collectors and art institutions everywhere. What is good art and what is trendy are not always the same. What is hot on the market today may not be hot tomorrow.  Knowing how to identify the best works by a given artist - either for investment or for your own appreciation - takes knowledge and an in-depth understanding not everyone has time to acquire. 

On the other hand, the art market has never been more alive. More people collect now than ever before. Art fairs attract tens of thousands of people, soaking in the energies,  the desire, the creative impulses, the aesthetic riches to be found there.  Auction prices continue to break records.  What sometimes begins out of curiosity or desire to invest more and more often turns into passion.

Esman * Madden Fine Art Advisory Services believes deeply in the joys and rewards of art and art collecting. We work closely with private, institutional, and corporate clients to guide them through the often-confusing maze of the market, assisting both in the sale and acquisition of art works, and in developing and curating collections -- as much for the experienced collector as for the eager newcomer.

Our aim is to allow collectors to enjoy the adventure and delight of art collecting, while we handle the rest.

But we do not stop there. We also engage with our clients to help nurture and expand their understanding of art movements and specific artists.

This enables us to gain deeper insights into individual clients’ personal needs and tastes and, hence, provide the best advice for making purchases you will treasure – aesthetically and financially – for years to come.

As such, we will sit down with you at length to discuss your interests, budgets, and tastes; accompany you on tours of galleries, museums, and art fairs; represent you at auction sales; and advise you on art-related matters such as security and care for your collection, condition reports, authentication, and more.

Our international presence and multi-lingual staff further makes it possible for us to provide personal, confidential service to all of our collectors worldwide – and expands our access to artworks available for sale, as well as access to interested buyers for art our clients may wish to divest from their own collections. Moreover, as partners, we represent comprehensive and in-depth expertise,from Old Master paintings and Impressionism to 20^th-century masters.

We are also proud and pleased to advise clients on non-Western art, particularly Aboriginal Australian and Islamic contemporary (works from Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Syria, and elsewhere in the Muslim region).

with the best works available, and enable us to source art that has not even come to the public market. At the same time, we provide total confidentiality for both buyer and seller, maintaining the greatest respect for their privacy and integrity.

Security

Through our connections with other art experts, we are also able to provide collectors, museums, and corporations with expert advice on maintaining and protecting their collections. Among the partnerships of which we are most proud is the one we maintain with one of the world’s top art security experts – now a consultant to major museums worldwide – who can advise our clients on the best ways to secure their treasures and measures they can take to protect their art -- measures that go far beyond the standard simple burglar-alarm system.

Our consultant will also aid you in making sure that your art collection has the highest level of protection from fire, floods, and other natural damage – all of which may then result in lowered insurance premiums for our clients.

Curating

We are also delighted to work with museums, private galleries, and other institutions to develop and curate exhibitions,from concept to catalogue. Over the years, we have produced numerous exhibitions, catalogues, marketing materials, and other projects for museums and galleries around the world.

Translation and Interpretation Services

We are happy to provide translation and interpretation for collectors, museums, galleries, and others, both written and verbal.
Languages include Dutch, French, German, and Arabic.
